Mano de Ayuda is an experience where the hopes and dreams of impoverished children become realities; it is a place of love and consolation for the sick, the forgotten and the needy; it is a ministry dedicated to the sharing of fundamental Bible truths in accordance with the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.
PROGRAM AFFILIATION
The Mano de Ayuda Program is a non-profit corporation registered in the State of New Mexico, approved as a tax exempt organization, by the Federal Internal Revenue Service described in Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi), and exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Mano de Ayuda orphanage and clinic are also registered in the Republic of Mexico as a Civil Association. The ministerial outreach, New Life in Christ Fellowships, is authorized as a religious association by the State Department of Religious Affairs.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION
The Mano de Ayuda Ministry was the recipient of the Jose Tocavén Medallion presented by the Voz of Michoacán in 1985 and the Excellence in Ministry Award in 2002 provided by the International Network of Children’s Ministry. A book published in October of 2003, “Tzintzuntzan, All Religions are Good” by Dr. Peter Cahn, highlighted our ministerial outreach in the Indian community of Santa Fe de la Laguna. On July 20, 2005, the “Dr. John Cook Lawson Center of Rehabilitation” was inaugurated in the Civil Hospital in Morelia by Señora Mayra Coffigny de Cárdenas, wife of the governor of Michoacán.
